Baby Aurora Scout Fortenberry, daughter of Jesse Dakota Fortenberry & Britnee Isenberger Fortenberry, passed away on Saturday, August 08, 2026. 

“First thing each morning, my daddy would snatch me up and cover me in kisses, oh how his beard tickled me. Then we’d go outside and bask in the sun. I have stormy blue eyes that mesmerized my brown-eyed dad and green eyed mom. I’m not scared of thunderstorms and loved the feeling of rain on my skin. I am named after the Aurora Borealis because I was born to be big and breathtaking. I am my parents’ miracle. I may be small, but I am their whole world. I never stopped wiggling. I had so many places to be. At the end of each day, we’d sit on the porch and listen to the crickets chirp. Mommy would then tuck me in bed and each night whisper, “Mommy loves you, Rory, Daddy loves you, Rory.”

A memorial service will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Olympic Towerside @ Lake Lanier, 3105 Clarks Bridge Road, Gainesville, GA. 30506.
