Betty Jean Watts Tyler, age 83, of Baldwin, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026.

Born on December 18, 1942, Betty was the daughter of the late Claude Watts and Ada Ramey Watts. She was a kind and gentle soul who never met a stranger and had a special way of making those around her feel loved and welcome.

Betty cherished her family above all else. She loved her children dearly and treasured the time she spent with family members. She also had a special love for collecting dolls, a hobby that brought her much joy throughout the years. Betty was known for her caring heart and her goodness to everyone she met. Her warmth, kindness, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Franklin Tyler; her sons, Kenneth Tyler and Bobby Tyler; and her daughter, Sandra Jean Tyler.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Johnny Tyler; her special friend, Sheerie Tyler; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and loved ones.

Though Betty has left this earthly life, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generous heart, and the love she had for her family.

A private burial will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Tiger, Georgia.
