Billy Gene Bowen, age 58 of Gillsville, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Miami Florida on November 28, 1955, he was a son of the late Donnie Lee Bowen, Sr. and Monteen Arflin Bowen. Mr. Bowen was a self-employed construction worker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Morgan Bowen and Donnie Lee Bowen, Jr.; sister, Ruth Hester.
Surviving are daughter, Kelly Bowen of Baldwin; brother, Jerry Bowen of Pendergrass and Melvin Bowen of Homer; sisters, Dorene Ferguson of Alto, Ora Bell Martin of Gillsville and Lucille Hatfield of Dawsonville; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
