Brian Saunders

Brian “Biff” Saunders, age 66, of Sugar Hill and Clarkesville, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

Born on December 4, 1956, in Nashville, Tennessee, he was a son of the late Marion Ray Saunders and Ruby Gloria Smith Saunders. Mr. Saunders graduated from Druid Hills High School and North Georgia Technical School. He went on to pursue a career in engineering and eventually retired from AT&T. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, and motorcycling. He was fond of Boxers and particularly walking his dog, Ruby, on scenic trails. Being a man of many talents, Biff grew his own blackberries and was also well-known for making jerky.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, his brother, Rick Saunders; aunt and uncle, Frances and E. J. Sims.

Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Twana Saunders of Sugar Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Mark “Chip” Saunders (Joyce) of Holly Springs, North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne Warenzak (Nick) of Big Canoe, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Larry Weese (Mary) of Acworth; sister-in-law, Patti Duke of Lula; nieces and nephews, Matt, Christy, Emily, Tracey, Kimberly, Nina, Bert, and Boyd; 10 great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the service hour on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
