Calvin Claude Stamey, age 65 of Clarkesville, Georgia, peacefully completed his earthly journey and entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 17, 2026.

Born in Demorest, Georgia, on March 24, 1961, Calvin was the son of the late Clyde Stamey and Ruby Holbrooks Stamey. He faithfully served the Habersham County School System for many years as Grounds Supervisor, where his hard work, dedication, and pride in maintaining the school grounds left a lasting impression on countless students, faculty, and staff until his retirement.

Calvin found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, was an avid NASCAR racing fan, and never missed an opportunity to watch the exciting automobile auctions at Barrett-Jackson. He was also an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Above all, Calvin treasured the time he spent with his family. His greatest happiness came from being a devoted husband, proud father, and loving "Papa" to his precious grandchildren. Calvin was of the Baptist faith. He was also the last surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Hunter Brooks Lee; his brother, Michael Stamey; and his sister, Betty Stamey Arrowood.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 36 years, Cindy Loggins Stamey; daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Will Lee; beloved grandchildren, Remington Grace Lee and John Lee; nephews, Justin Anderson and Jonathan Arrowood; great-nephews, Gabriel Anderson, Jonah Anderson, Brody Anderson, and Landon Arrowood; great-niece, Braylin Arrowood; many cousins, other relatives, and a host of dear friends whose lives were richly blessed by knowing him.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later.
