Carol Lee Reeves Callihan, age 79, of Cleveland, Georgia, took her Heavenly flight home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2026.
Born in Stockbridge, Georgia, on April 14, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Leonard David Reeves and Martha Marie Bennett Reeves. Carol devoted over 15 years of service as a school bus driver with the Henry County School System before her retirement.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Carol's greatest joy was her family. Affectionately known as "Nanny" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she treasured every moment spent with those she loved. Carol had an especially tender heart for babies and was lovingly considered a "baby magnet," as little ones naturally gravitated toward her gentle and nurturing spirit. She enjoyed cooking for her family, talking on the telephone, especially with her sisters, and tending to her beautiful flower gardens. She also found great pleasure in watching and feeding the redbirds and hummingbirds that visited her yard. Carol was a faithful member of Trinity Full Gospel Church, where her love for the Lord was an important part of her life. Her kind heart, loving presence, and devotion to her family will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest Reeves, Edward Reeves, Paul Reeves, and Roy Reeves; and sister, Gail Rectenwald.
Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Mac Callihan; sons, Keith M. Callihan and Daryl Lee Callihan; sisters, Ruby Grace Phillips, Elsie Thomas, and Connie Burdett; brother, Steve Reeves; grandchildren, Brian & Cyndal Callihan, Tabitha Callihan, Jared & Elisha Callihan, Lee & Ceirra Callihan, Mac & Andrea Callihan, Kody & Camilla Callihan; numerous great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Trinity Full Gospel Church, with Rev. Dennis Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour on Saturday.
