Obituary

Constance “Connie” Martin Gosnell, of Demorest, Georgia, peacefully entered into eternal rest and restored health in Heaven on August 05, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Connie was born on November 29, 1970, and was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, contagious laugh, and unwavering loyalty and love for those around her. She found joy in the simple blessings of a lifetime spent with family and laughter shared with friends.

More than anything, Connie treasured being a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, teacher, and friend. Her greatest legacy is the love she poured into the lives of others. With over 30 years in public education, she had a God-given gift of making people feel welcomed, cared for, and valued, and her memory will continue to live on through the hundreds of lives she touched throughout her years.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Floyd “Bill” Martin.

She is survived by her children, Logan and Lauren Gosnell and Lainey and Brendan Hogan; her beloved grandchildren, Banks and Baker; her mother, Janice Griggs; her brother and family, Tracy and Michele Martin; her niece and nephew, Brenna and Harry Martin; her great-niece and nephew, Kinsley and Ramsey; her 4-legged companion, Howie Buffalo Gosnell; and many, many cherished family members, lifelong friends, treasured students, and all whose lives she touched.

While our hearts will grieve her absence, we celebrate Connie and a life well lived — marked by love, laughter, compassion, faith, and quiet strength.

Forever in our hearts.

A drop in Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5 pm on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Cornelia Community House, 601 Wyly Street, Cornelia, Georgia 30531. Speakers will commence at 2:30 pm.
