Dan Canup

Dan Canup, age 63, of Clarkesville, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015.
Born on June 8, 1952 in Clarkesville, Georgia, he was a son of the late Floyd Junior and Hortense Nix Canup. Mr. Canup was self employed in the salvage industry and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Marty Martin of Clarkesville; his Chastain girls, Tina, Ashley and Michelle all of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Rusty Daniel Wade and Crystal and Christopher Barnes all of Clarkesville; great grandchild, Sophia Barnes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Nyoka Canup of Clarkesville and Jim and Gwen Canup of Alto; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Woodrow Free, Jr. of Clarkesville; forever friend, Janie Akers of Cleveland; numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial services 3 pm Saturday, August 22, 2015, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Dennis Dills officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
