Obituary

Emilie Grace Cameron Krippner, age 88, of Mt. Airy, peacefully left this life and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, kindness, and a lifetime of precious memories that will be forever treasured by those who knew and loved her.

Born in Dallas, Texas, on August 10, 1938, Emilie was a daughter of the late Joe Rutherford Cameron and Dorothy Nell Cameron. Her family moved to Pearland, Texas, where she graduated from Pearland High School in 1956.

Emilie Cameron and Paul Krippner met on June 13, 1957, on a blind date, and were married on March 8, 1958. Together they built a life centered around faith, family and devotion to each other. Their marriage lasted over 68 years and is a testament to enduring love and the home they created is a place where countless memories were made and are cherished.

Emilie dedicated over 35 years to substitute teaching in the public school system. She was affectionately known to the many students she taught over the years as the “Ravioli Lady.” This began with a simple child’s ditty that she sang ultimately with almost every student in the school system over the 35 years she substituted. The song was so simple, so silly, so childish that you would not have believed that older children would sing it. So beloved was the song, however, that one graduating senior class asked her to come sing it with them as part of their graduating services.

Emilie’s Christian faith was an important foundation of her life. She was an active devoted member of the church of Christ where she attended faithfully, teaching many years in preschool and young age classes and where she loved the fellowship of her church family.

Though her earthly journey has come to an end, Emilie’s beautiful legacy will live on through the family she loved so dearly, and the friendships she treasured. Her family finds comfort knowing that her heavenly flight has carried her into the presence of her Lord and Savior and to a joyful reunion of loved ones who have gone before her.

In addition to her parents, Emilie was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Cora Morgan and father-in-law, Max Krippner.

Survivors include her loving husband, Paul Krippner; her loving children, Michael and Tiffany Krippner, Kay and Jamie Lopez, John and Kimberli Krippner, Dan and Shannan Krippner and Anita Krippner; precious grandchildren, Elizabeth and Coltan Blakely, Delaney and Jordan Obrastoff, Michaela Krippner, Jonathan and Bethany Roseman, Brian Roseman, Kenslie Krippner, Kasey and Marshal Nichols, Jordan Krippner, Nathan and Kaitlyn Krippner, Hayden Krippner, Avery Krippner, Tracy Beaty, John Robert Kemp and Antonia Lex; cherished great-grandchildren, Lyra Blakely, Harper Nichols, Berklee Nichols, Hadley Nichols, Kalani Kemp, Justin Kemp, Cadence Kemp, Savannah Kemp, Hendrix Andrew; blessed great-great-grandchild, Nova Kemp; sister, Bussie Reynolds; as well as many other dear relatives.

Funeral services are 2 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2026, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour on Thursday, at the funeral home.
