George Henry Anderson, age 82, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Born in Dahlonega, Georgia, on July 29, 1944, George was a son of the late John Henry Anderson and Gaynelle Roberts Anderson.

A hardworking and dedicated businessman, George spent more than 60 years in the roofing industry as the owner and operator of Mountain Men Roofing. Through decades of commitment to his trade, he built a lasting legacy of hard work and perseverance. When he wasn't working, George enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing and spending time in the great outdoors. He found peace and contentment in nature and appreciated the beauty of the mountains he called home.

Above all, George's life was enriched by the family he loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and the many years he devoted to his work and family will remain a meaningful part of his legacy.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his son, Dale Anderson; daughter, Deborah Anderson White; brothers, Monroe Anderson, Josh Anderson, David Anderson, and Eugene Anderson; and sister, Sylvia Anderson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Pamela Porterfield Anderson; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Becky Anderson, Lee and Angie Anderson, Tim and Patti Anderson, and Jason and Camille Anderson; sisters, Shirley Spencer, Mildred Souther, Martha Sue Woods, and Ruby Tate; grandchildren, Wendy and Clifford Bestpitch, Amy White, Jamie Terrell, A.J. Anderson, Jess Anderson, Stacey Anderson, Tyler Preston Anderson, and Brittany Anderson; great-grandchildren, Duncan Bestpitch, Natalie Bestpitch, Holt Anderson, and Maddox Anderson; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In accordance with George's wishes, cremation will take place, and no formal services will be held. His family will cherish his memory and the many moments shared throughout his lifetime.
