Gladys Alexander Webb, age 86, of Mount Airy, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Born on December 12, 1939, in the beautiful mountains of Clayton, Georgia, Gladys was a daughter of the late William and Margie Seay Alexander. She was a graduate of Rabun County High School, Class of 1957. Gladys retired from Scovill Manufacturing after more than 28 years of dedicated service and later worked with Sharing & Caring of Clarkesville.

Gladys found great joy in life's simple blessings, especially spending time with her family at their deer camp in Elbert County, where she loved hunting and fishing. She was also a wonderful cook who enjoyed preparing meals for those she loved. Above all, Gladys treasured her family, and the love, laughter, and precious memories she shared with them will forever remain in their hearts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Barney L. Webb; son, Ricky Webb; daughter, Donna Webb Lewallen; sons-in-law, Dale Murray and Douglas Pierce; granddaughter, Candi Murray James; six brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David and Wanda Webb; daughters, Sandy Webb Murray and Wanda Webb Pierce; daughter-in-law, Anita Webb; sister, Maryann Henslee; grandchildren, Chris Webb, Amber and Josh Ott, Kady Jo and T.J. Burgess, Mandy Green and Clay Cantrell, Kimberly and Joey Bullard, Jamie Lewallen & Kristy Lewallen; great-grandchildren, Haygen James, Handley Rae James, Conner Burgess, Bo Burgess, Hailey Burgess, Madison Green, Meghan Green, Anthony Taylor, Jonathan Boisclair, Ashley Bullard, and Jamie Bullard; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home, with Rev. Chad Parham officiating. Interment will follow in the Hollywood Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
