Hilda Griffin Mealor, age 73, of Lula, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at her residence.
Born on August 1, 1941, in Lula, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Cary and Evelyn Garrison Griffin. Mrs. Mealor was a member of Maysville Baptist Church and was retired from Hall County School System. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being outdoors, especially sitting on the front porch with her husband, Billy and other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Dan. B. Griffin.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Billy G. Mealor of Lula; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jeff Griswell of Gainesville; brother, Lamb Griffin of Lula; brother and sister-in-law, Dwight and Karen Griffin of Lula; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are 11 am Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Dr. Shane Roberson and Rev. David Sharpton officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery in Lula.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9 pm on Wednesday and from 9-11 am on Thursday at the funeral home.
