Hoyt Steve Parson

Hoyt Steve Parson, age 68, of Alto, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 4, 2025.

Born on November 07, 1956, in Jacksonville, Florida, he was the son of the late Hoyt Benton and Omazell Armour Parson. Steve dedicated over 18 years to D&S Lumber Company and had been employed with SRM Concrete for over 21 years. In his leisure time, he found joy in trips to the mountains, fishing, and working on vehicles. Family held a central place in his heart, and he took immense pride in his children and grandchildren. Steve was a member of the Holiness faith.He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Ruppert Parson; as well as his daughter, Dasha Parson, and infant son, Troy Parson, brothers, Wesley Parson & Stanley Parson.

Steve is survived by his children: Leah Williams (Cory), Amy Parson, and Cody Parson (Angela); his grandchildren, Rylee (Roxie), Bray, Jesse Williams, Daysha Parson, Madalyn Parson, and Hoyt Parson; a great-grandchild, Mavery Williams; sisters, Shirley Akers (Charlie), Linda Parson; brother, J.B. Parson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire, with Rev. Johnny Willis & Rev. Terry Benfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Baldwin City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025 and then again from 12 noon until the service hour on Saturday, August 09, 2025.
