Janie Seabolt Henderson

Janie Seabolt Henderson, age 82, of Cornelia, Georgia, took her Heavenly flight home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 22, 2025, after an extended illness.

Born in Habersham County, on December 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Narvie and Bessie Seabolt. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years "Tommy" Thomas Eugene Henderson. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Catherine Coally and Elizabeth Haddock and her brother Jr. Seabolt.

Janie lived her life in Habersham County and was a member of The Torch and active in the Ladies Ministry until her health failed.

She had a strong work ethic and devoted over 25 years of service to Ethicon Johnson & Johnson working in Vicryl Extrusion before retiring in 2005. After her retirement she enjoyed her beach trips with her girlfriends and found peace at the ocean.

The family wished to offer their sincere heartfelt appreciation to her Hospice Nurses for their care and kindness. They also want to thank special friends and caregivers Teresa and Phillip Davidson, Lisa Stamey, Judy Chapman, Pat Setzer and Jean Burch.

Janie is survived by her brother Johnny Seabolt, her only child Tim Maney of Cornelia, her grandson Matt (Samantha) Maney of Snellville and her 2 great-granddaughters Ansley Grace and "Maddie" Madelyn Cheyenne. Above all Janie treasured her great-granddaughters. They were her greatest blessings, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. They gave her a taste of Heaven on Earth.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2025, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
