Jerry Wayne Cook, age 69, of Alto, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Born in Stephens County, Georgia, on February 10, 1957, Jerry was the son of the late Homer Eugene Cook and Mary Lois Bentley Cook.
Jerry was a hardworking man who was self-employed for many years and worked with Cook's Insulation Service. He took great pride in providing for his family through honest work and earned the respect of those who knew him through his dedication and strong work ethic.
In his spare time, Jerry found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and tending to his garden. Whether casting a line, sitting quietly in the woods, or watching something he had planted grow, he found peace in God's creation. Above all else, Jerry treasured the time he spent with his family. His greatest happiness came from making precious memories with those he loved most, especially his beloved grandchildren and great-granddaughter, who brought endless joy to his life. His love, guidance, and unwavering devotion to his family will forever remain a treasured legacy.
Jerry was a faithful member of Mud Creek Baptist Church, where his faith in the Lord was an important part of his life.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Kimberly Stephens Cook; daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Matthew Anderson; step-son, Jacob Pitts; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Steve Gerrin; grandchildren, Harold and Harley Anderson, Ely Anderson, Charlie Pitts, Jackson Pitts, Trey Smith, and Hazel B.
