Joann Yvonne Ivester, age 58 of Turnerville, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
Born in Stephens County on October 29, 1957, she was a daughter of Mary Lucille Wall Ivester of Turnerville and the late Henry A. Ivester, Jr. She was a former supervisor with Fieldale Farms for a number of years and was a member of Turnerville Church of God. Joann loved her family and was especially proud of her grandson.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Della Ann Broome Ivester.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are daughter and son-in-law, Amanda & Sean Brock of Clarkesville; grandson, Grayson Brock of Clarkesville; brother, Jim A. Ivester of Clarkesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janie & Tim Nichols and Judy & Howard Johnson all of Turnerville; a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services are 3:00 pm Friday, January 29, 2016, from the Turnerville Church of God with Rev. Gerald Lee and Chaplain Susan Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Turnerville Church of God Cemetery in Hollywood.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Thursday.
