Johnny Lee Hurt, age 61 of Cornelia, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018.
Born in Demorest, Georgia on September 14, 1957, to James William and Janice Lewallen Hurt. Mr. Hurt was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, surviving are daughters, Brandi Hurt of Clarkesville, Elaina Ramirez of Baldwin; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Cathy and Kim Lawson, Elaine and Wayne Higgins, and Myra Osborne, all of Cornelia.
Funeral services are 2 pm, Sunday, September 23, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Danny O’Kelly and Rev. Devin O’Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
