Laura Gayle Burke Jackson, age 65, of Demorest, passed away on Monday September 21, 2026. Born on August 18, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Billy Burke and Wallace Loudermilk Craven.

Gayle was a proud graduate of Habersham Central High School, Class of 1979, and continued her education at Piedmont College, where she graduated in 1982 with a degree in accounting. She carried her dedication and caring spirit into all aspects of her life, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.

Above all, Gayle loved deeply. Her family and friends were among her greatest blessings, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with the people she loved. One of her greatest joys was cheering on her grandson Chance at his sporting events, proudly supporting him and making memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Gayle also had a special appreciation for the outdoors, especially the beach, where she could enjoy the beauty and peace of nature. She found joy in serving others as well, particularly through her involvement with the youth group that her daughter, Anna, was a part of. Her willingness to give her time and share her heart with others reflected the kindness and compassion that were such a special part of who she was.

Those who knew Gayle will remember her for her joyful heart, her loving nature, and the warmth she brought into every room. She had a way of making others feel loved and valued, and her presence was a blessing to her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

In addition to her parents, Gayle was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Craven.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved daughter, Anna Marie Jackson; her cherished grandson, Chance Riley Whitlock; her nephew, Peyton Craven; and other family members and dear friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday November 15, 2026, at the funeral home.
