Lexine Lee Sewell Maney, age 79, of Demorest, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

Born in Toccoa, Georgia, on June 23, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Sewell and Nancy Catherine Allen Sewell. Lexine was a graduate of South Habersham High School, Class of 1965. She dedicated many years of service to Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson Company, where she enjoyed her work and the friendships made along the way before retirement.

In her spare time, Lexine enjoyed crocheting and sewing, but her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved them beyond measure and especially treasured the precious moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was truly the center of her world, and the love she so freely gave will remain a cherished blessing in their hearts. Lexine was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Mitchell Maney.

Survivors include her son, Robert Maney; grandchildren raised in the home, Lakeyda Maney Underwood and Griffin Maney; granddaughter, Macy Maney; five great-grandchildren, Landon, Eliza, Daytona, Mason, and Christian; brother and sister-in-law, Alvin D. and Bernie Sewell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lyn and James Ledford, and Joy Sewell and Biff Willingham; along with many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Yonah Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Levi Nix officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
