Linda Jane Scott

Linda Jane Scott, age 77, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, April 24, 2025, following an extended illness. Ms. Scott was a 1965 Graduate of North Habersham High School. She later graduated from North Georgia Technical College with a degree in Cosmetology. 

Ms. Scott was born in Stephens County, GA to her loving parents Paralee (Littleton) Scott and Jack Beal Scott. In addition to her parents, Ms. Scott is preceded in death by her sister, Doris C. Sims; brother-in-law, Eugene Sims; and nephew, John Bradley Sims, all of the chopped oak community of Mt Airy.

Ms. Scott was of the Church of God faith. She owned and operated Southern Cuts and Curls in Demorest for many years until her retirement. Ms. Scott never met a stranger and treated everyone she met as family. Ms. Scott loved her family deeply and loved all and any company!

Ms. Scott is survived by her only daughter, Tina Lynn Scroggs Bowen of Toccoa; Three grandchildren, Taylor Patrick Bowen (Abbey) of Cleveland, Haley Nicole Davidson of Toccoa; Brady Logan Davidson (Ashlynn) of Mt Airy; One great-grand daughter, Adalynn Renee Davidson; and many nieces and nephews. She was known as Meme by all her grandchildren and her great-grand daughter. 

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 6pm-8pm at McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home.
