Lois Estell McConnell

Lois Estell McConnell, age 99, of Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Born on February 2, 1926, in Mount Airy, she was a daughter of the late Paul McConnell, Sr. and Emma Inez Cash McConnell. Lois was employed with Carwood Manufacturing for over 50 years and was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Paul McConnell, Jr., Frank McConnell, Louie McConnell, and infant Marvin McConnell; and sisters, Willie Mae McConnell, and Betty Jean Underwood.

Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy Lee McConnell (Julia) and William McConnell (Jo Beth); sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie Loudermilk (JW) and Mable McAllister (Bruce); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are 2 pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire with Rev. Mike Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the service hour on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
