Margarita Zavala, age 72 of Alto, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at her residence.
Born in Guanajuato, Mexico on January 4, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Zavala and Rosa Gavina. Mrs. Zavala was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Medina; son, Jose Martin Medina; grandson, Juan Angel Medina.
Surviving are children, Delfino Zavala, Juan M Medina, Miguel Angel Medina, Rigoberto Medina, Manuela Medina, and Araceli Medina; siblings, Jose Martinez, Miguel Martinez, Benigno Martinez, Rita Zavala, Cecilia Zavala, Guadalupe Zavala, Concepcion Zavala; 16 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church with Father Jose Luis officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 5410 Highway 197 S, Clarkesville, GA 30523, beginning at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 until the mass hour on Thursday.
