Melvin Boring

Melvin John Boring, age 78 of Lula, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at his residence.
Born in San Francisco, California on January 28, 1935, he was a son of the late James H. Boring and Evelyn Ruth Clark Boring. Mr. Boring was retired from Lee Arrendale Correction Institute and was a U.S. Navy veteran where he served two years during the Korean Conflict. He was a painter who also enjoyed knife making and cooking.
Survivors include wife of 42 years, Pauline Guyton Boring of Lula; daughter, Tina King of Lula; brothers, Edward Boring of Wilmington, North Carolina, Ulysses S. Boring of Miami, Florida and James S. Boring of Lula; grandchildren, John Longan and Heather Moore both of Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Meagan Moore, Camden Longan and Dane Longan all of Oklahoma;
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for Mr. Boring.
