Michael Berry, age 59 of Cornelia, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015.
Born in Atlanta, on March 8, 1956, he was a son of the late Nathaniel Berry, Sr. and Gracie Banks. Mr. Berry was employed with Ivester Construction and was a member of Spiritual Israel Church and It’s Army. He enjoyed watching sports, basketball, football and baseball.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Jason Ritchie; sister, Patricia Faulkner; brother, Eddie J. Gipson.
Surviving are companion of 34 years, Everean King of Cornelia; granddaughter, Aaliyah Borders; sisters, Beverly Willingham and Vernita Berry both of Cornelia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nathaniel, Jr. and Sharon Berry of Cornelia, Clarence and Tina Gipson of Cornelia, Walter J. Gipson of Cornelia and Charles Gipson of Atlanta; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services are 2 pm Friday, November 13, 2015, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Tracy Curry officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
