Nick Powers

Nick Burren Powers, Jr., age 60, of Clarkesville, passed away Monday, December 02, 2013 at his residence.
Born on April 09, 1953, in Austin, Texas, he was a son of the late Nick Burren Powers, Sr. and Mary Turner Davis. Mr. Powers was a member of Harvest Christian Church and was a retired manager with SKF Bearings with 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran from the Vietnam Era who was also a farmer, master mechanic, journeyman, and a Harley Davidson Rider.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Powers was also preceded in death by his brother, Doug Powers.
Survivors include wife of 39 years, Deborah Powers of Clarkesville; sons, Brian, Eric and Andrew Powers all of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Nikki and Hannah Powers both of Clarkesville; brother, Andrew Powers of Gainesville; sisters, Beverlie Thomas of Savannah. Michelle Thilenius of Gainesville; father-in-law and wife, Randolph and Sharea Duncan of Cornelia; mother-in-law, Sue Thomas of Clarkesville; sisters-in-law, Hope Senador of Cornelia, Connie Roberts of Maysville and Sharon Nathan of Kansas City, Kansas; brother-in-law, Ken Duncan of Gainesville, Jeff Little of Maysville, and Steve Nathan of Kansas City, Kansas.
A memorial service for Mr. Powers will be held at a later date.
