Pamela Ann Allen Cochran, age 57, of Cornelia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 15, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on November 27, 1968, in Gainesville, Pam was the beloved daughter of Larry Cochran and the late Barbara Ann Gerrell Nix. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Danny Cochran.
Pam dedicated many years of her life as a manager with Waffle House, where she built lasting friendships and was known for her strong work ethic, leadership, and unmistakable sense of humor. She had a vibrant spirit and a love for life’s simple pleasures—especially trips to the beach and visits to the casinos, where she enjoyed time spent laughing and making memories with those she loved.
Independent, funny, loving, and yes—stubborn in the way only those who know her best could truly appreciate—Pam lived life on her own terms. Her strength was evident not only in her daily life but especially in the bravery she showed throughout her illness. Above all else, Pam loved her family fiercely. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and nothing brought her greater joy than being “Mama” and “Nanny Pam.”
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Trenton Nix; Brent and Chasity Nix; and her treasured grandchildren, Fallon and Tanner Nix, and Cali and Molli Nix. She is also survived by her father, Larry Cochran; her brother, Luke Cochran; her aunts, Bobbie Goss, Elaine Threlkeld, and Susan Page; her lifelong best friend, Sheril Nix; as well as many cousins, extended family members, and a host of friends whose lives she touched deeply.
Funeral services are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Meeks officiating. In accordance with Pam’s wishes, she will be cremated following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour on Saturday.
An online guest registry is available for the family at www.mcgaheegriffinandmcentire.com.
McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home (706-778-8668) is in charge of arrangements.
