Paul Steven "Butch" Sargent

Paul Steven "Butch" Sargent, age 60, of Alto, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Born on April 5, 1965, in Lula, he was a son of the late William T., Sr. and Lucille Miller Sargent. Butch was a graduate of East Hall High School. He went on to be a truck driver for many years before retiring. In his spare time, he enjoyed singing and music, especially playing the guitar. Butch will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, and Papa. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, William T. Sargent, Jr. and Michael D. Sargent.

Survivors include his wife, Adina Brady Sargent; children and their spouses, Jonathan Sargent (Jennifer), Jessica Trotter (John), Robert Stephens (Brooke), and Amber Miller; grandchildren, Austin Hollis, Adam Hollis, Kaylee Trotter, Kasey Jordan, Joanna Sargent, Ava Miller, Camden Miller, and Elijah Miller; brother, Danny L. Sargent; sisters, Kathy Sargent Stanley and Linda S. Woodall; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services are 2 pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Chad Dale officiating.

Then family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the funeral home.
