Rosa Mae Pack Wiley Farley, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, wife, friend, and devoted woman of God, passed peacefully on September 10, 2026, at the home of her daughter, Cristie Trent, in Cornelia, Georgia. Her life was a beautiful testament to faith, love, service, and the quiet strength of a woman who devoted herself to caring for others.

Rosa was born on July 26, 1945, in Slagle, West Virginia, to Artie “Bud” and Aileen Farmer Pack. From her earliest days, she carried within her a generous heart and a deep love for family and community.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her husband of 49 wonderful years and the father of her children, Donald Wiley; her son, Gregory Shawn Wiley; her granddaughter, Patricia Wiley; her brothers, Artie “Junior” Pack and Ronald Pack; and her second husband of her final ten years, Roger Farley.

Those left behind to cherish Rosa’s memory are her daughter, Cristie Wiley Trent, and son-in-law, Danny Trent; her grandchildren, Garrett Trent, Nicholas Trent, Heather (Caleb) Wade, and Shawna Wiley; and her precious great-grandchildren, Mason Grimmett-Trent, Artie Keyser, VanDon Browning, Kaliber Browning, and Delphia Rose Browning. She is also survived by her sisters, Gloria (Walter Frye) Wiley, Sandra (Sonny) Frye, and Drema (Leandro) Galang; her sister-in-law, Marcella (Polly) Pack; along with numerous extended family members, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness.

Rosa found joy in the simple and precious things of life. She loved shopping, sewing, and, above all, spending time with her family. She had a particularly tender place in her heart for the little ones, whose laughter and presence brought her immeasurable happiness. Her love was expressed not only in words, but in the countless ways she gave of herself to those she loved.

For 46 years, Rosa faithfully served with Southwestern Community Action Council, where she found great purpose in working with families throughout her community and the surrounding areas. Her work was more than a career—it was a calling. She cared deeply about people and took pride in helping families find support, hope, and a better way forward.

Rosa also generously gave more than ten years of service to the Lincoln County Board of Health, where she served as President. Her dedication to the well-being of others reflected the same compassion that defined every part of her life.

But perhaps the greatest legacy Rosa leaves is the love she shared through her faith. She was a woman who truly loved God, and she lived her life as a reflection of His love. She welcomed people with kindness, served without seeking recognition, and offered compassion to those who crossed her path. Her faith was not simply something she professed—it was something she lived. Through her words, her actions, and the way she cared for others, Rosa quietly showed the love of Christ to all who knew her.

Her earthly journey is now complete, but the love she gave remains. It lives on in her daughter, in her grandchildren, in the precious great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward, in the family she treasured, in the friends she made, in the many families she served, and in the countless hearts she touched along the way. Though those who loved her will feel her absence deeply, they can take comfort in knowing that Rosa’s faith has become sight and that she has been welcomed home to the arms of the God she loved and served so faithfully.

A viewing will be held at Freeman Funeral Home in Chapmanville, West Virginia, on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., followed by her burial at Highland Memory Gardens in Chapmanville, West Virginia, where Rosa will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Donald Wiley.

Rosa came into this world with love, lived with purpose, served with compassion, and left it having made it a gentler place for those who knew her.

Her hands served. Her heart loved. Her faith endured.Her life was a blessing. Her memory will be a treasure.And her homegoing is a victory.
