Roxie Roberts

Roxie Helen Jordan Roberts, age 83, of Carnesville, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021.

Born on July 30, 1937, in Gainesville, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Cornelia Campbell Jordan. Mrs. Roberts lived most of her life in Tennessee and worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Maryville Hospital. She was a member of Lula Worship Center and enjoyed sewing, coloring, and traveling to Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Kenneth Roberts; son, Lawrence Roberts; daughter, Delores Whisenant; brothers, George Jordan and Gary Jordan; and sisters, Lila Martin and Peggy Lewallen.

Survivors include her sister, Teresa Lingerfelt; brothers: Tommy Jordan, Johnny Jordan, Anthony Jordan, and Ricky Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. David Chapman and Rev. Shane Turner officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1-8 pm on Monday, June 14, 2021, at the funeral home.
