Sally Marie Cowan Gibson, age 64, of Alto, GA passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Born on July 6, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Scott Cowan and Jean Collette Cowan. Sally was a woman of strong faith and was of the Methodist faith. She was the rock of her family, the one her loved ones could always turn to for strength, comfort, and unconditional love.

Sally cherished her family above all else. She found joy in the simple things in life, especially spending time with those she loved, caring for her beloved dog, and enjoying her sweet tea, which she rarely went anywhere without. Her warm heart, loving spirit, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her beloved son, Clinton O’Neal.

She is survived by her husband, Kermit Gibson; son, Michael O’Neal; brothers, Phillip Cowan, Richard Cowan, and Stephen Cowan; sister, Charlotte Cowan; along with other relatives and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Sally leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on through her family. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely will remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and McEntire Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the service hour on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
