Scot Allen Moyer, age 34, born on December 21, 1989, in Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 17, 2025, in Toccoa, Georgia.
Scot was a passionate individual with a diverse range of interests. He found joy in fishing and embraced outdoor activities, which reflected his love for nature. His inquisitive mind was drawn to history, and he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and stories with family and friends. Additionally, Scot had a knack for collecting clocks, as well as a talent for welding and engaging in various DIY projects, each of which demonstrated his resourcefulness and creativity.
He is survived by his wife, Desiree Holland Moyer, and his cherished daughter, Ava Rose Moyer. Scot also leaves behind his parents, Pamela and Salvador Contreras; his brother & sister-in-law, Andrew Scott & Ashley Moyer; his sisters, Nicole Lee Adams and Erica Collins; as well as his nieces and nephews, Alyssa Moyer, Arianna Moyer, John Adams, Nancy Grace Adams, Hunter Collins, Calee Collins, and Owen Sims. He is also remembered by his Aunt Judy Moyer and many other extended family members and friends, each of whom played a significant role in his life.
The family will receive friends, at McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home in Cornelia, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
