Shirley Wilda White Edwards, age 70 of Martin, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021.
Born in Gainesville, Georgia on June 11, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Charles White and Wilda Phillips White Burton Teague. Mrs. Edwards was a great cook and everyone loved her famous oatmeal cookies. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and canning. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Edwards.
Surviving are her son and girlfriend, Chris Morrow & Julie Brayman of Martin; grandchildren, Chris Morrow, Jr. and Nikki Morrow; brother, Ralph White of Banks County; sister, Janie Contestabile of Gwinnett County; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Monday, June 14, 2021 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Ted Armour officiating. Interment will follow in Alto Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
