Teresa Jordan Lingerfelt, age 72, of Carnesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 21, 1953, Teresa was the beloved daughter of the late Fred Jordan and Cornelia Campbell Jordan. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy in life was the love she shared with her family. She was a member of Lula Worship Center.

Teresa found peace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved traveling to the mountains of Tennessee, where she could admire God's beautiful creation and enjoy the serenity they offered. She also cherished spending quiet moments reading a good book. Above all, Teresa treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their laughter and love filled her heart, and the memories they created together will be forever cherished by those who knew her

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ray Lingerfelt; her daughter, Jimmie Juanita Lingerfelt; her brothers, Gary Jordan, George Jordan, and Ricky Jordan; her sisters, Peggy Lewallen, Lila Martin, and Helen Roberts; her grandson, Angel Jo Wade; and her great-grandson, Triston Chapman.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, James Lingerfelt, Richard Wade (Katie), and Christine Chapman (David); her brothers, Anthony Jordan, Tommy Jordan, and Johnny Jordan; her twelve grandchildren; her nineteen great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will forever remember her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family.

Funeral Services are 3 pm on Sunday, July 19, 2026, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire, with Rev. David Chapman and Rev. Shane Turner officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the funeral home.
