Thomas Harold Bullard, 90, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026. 

Born in Lyman, he was the son of the late Pearly Thomas and Lucy Blackburn Bullard and the husband of Phyllis McHugh Bullard for sixty-seven years. He was retired from the US Postal Service, worked in District Five as a mail carrier and also served as Post Master at Lyman, Landrum and Jonesville Post Offices. Harold served with US National Guard, a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Lyman and was the Chairman of Deacons and long time choir member. He was a 1953 graduate of Duncan High School and obtained an associates degree from North Greenville College.Having served as a high school league football official, he officiated the Shrine Bowl and North South All-Star Game in 1997 and often officiated State Championship Games. Because of his many years as sideline manager at James F. Byrnes High School the district decided to honor him by naming the practice field after him. Harold was a proud farmer of soybean and wheat and was the FFA State Farmer of the Year.

Survivors include three children, Risa Lewis and husband, Mark, Joel Bullard (Kellie Faulkner) and Andrea Mabrey and husband, Steve; five grandchildren, Christopher Lewis and wife, Reagan, Presley Gossett and husband, Daniel, Courtney Conn and husband, Zach, Jesse Mabrey (Sarah Keller) and Thomas Bullard (Nicole Hoard); and five great-grandchildren, Lucy Pearl Gossett, Gracie Lewis, Lydia Conn, Ellie Lewis and Owen Conn. He was predeceased by seven brothers, William Bullard, Joe Dean Bullard, Ernest Bullard, Raymond Bullard, Amos Shirley, Dennis Shirley and James Shirley; and four sisters, Helen Walker, Lillie Mae Rogers, Thelma Smith and Izora Nelson.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Lyman. 

The family will receive friends from 1PM until 2PM prior to the service. Interment will be held at Wood Memorial Park.
