Tilford Malon Banks, age 88, of Demorest, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
Born on May 6, 1937, in Demorest, he was a son of the late William Richard "Willie" and Zadie Mae Shelnut Banks. Mr. Banks was the owner and operator of Banks Construction Company for many years. He was also a farmer who enjoyed gardening in his spare time. He will be fondly remembered as a 'people person' who especially loved children and was always full of stories and entertainment for those around him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Lee Caudell Banks; brothers and sisters-in-law, Otis, Milton (Pearl), Elmer (Dot), Homer, Vermon, and William Randell Banks.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis Banks (Gail) and Brent Banks (Angela); daughter and son-in-law, Karen Alexander (Anthony); grandchildren, Emilee Banks, Gracie Banks, Blake Banks (Annie), Brandy Banks Parker (James), Gustin Alexander (Ligia), and Tristin Alexander; great grandchildren, Ian Levesque (Reagan), Ashton Parker, Bella Parker, and Cleo Banks; great-great grandchild, Ryland Levesque; brother and sister-in-law, Carven Banks (Annette); sister, Colleen Hudson; sisters-in-law, Linda Banks, Carolyn Banks, and Ruth Banks; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services are 11 am on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Shane Jenkins officiating.
