Vernita Malone, age 63 of Cornelia, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 22, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Carl Malone and Gracie L. Banks. Vernita was full of life and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Malone was preceded in death by three siblings, Michael Berry, Patricia Faulkner and Eddie Joe Gipson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her three children, Ms. Vernita L. Dantzler, Mr. Leon & Angela Davis, Jr., and Ms. Lateese R. Davis; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Beverly Willingham; brothers, Nathan Berry, Clarence Gipson, Walter Gipson and Charles Gipson; a host of nieces and nephews and other friends and family.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Bardel Summerour officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
