Wendy Leigh Wilson

Wendy Leigh Wilson, age 58, of Lula, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025.

Born on January 4, 1967, in Gainesville, she was the daughter of Brenda Gaddis Bailey and the late Wayne Wilson. After being employed with UPS for some time, Wendy faithfully worked beside her dad in the family pottery business. As a teenager she helped with the hand turning operation and later worked in sales at Wayne Wilson Pottery. Wendy loved her family, who takes comfort in their assurance that she is with her Savior and is now healed and free. She will be remembered for her fun-loving humor, fierce loyalty, self-sacrificing generosity, and her big heart. Wendy was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Gary W. Wilson (Lorri); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

The family would like to recognize and express their gratitude to all of Wendy's special friends for their longsuffering loyalty, encouraging presence, and demonstrating faithful love in the trenches.

Funeral services are 2 pm on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire, with Rev. Gary W. Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery in Lula.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour on Saturday, at the funeral home.
