William Alan Hay, II, age 55 of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
Born in Augusta, Georgia on May 20, 1970, he was the only child of the late William Alan Hay, Sr. & Shannon Goosey Hay.
Alan worked in sales with ACE Hardware for many years, where he was known for his friendly personality and willingness to help others. During his younger years, he proudly pursued his love of baseball as a pitcher in Minor League Baseball. Alan enjoyed life’s simple pleasures — spending time on the golf course, playing pool with friends, and listening to music. Most importantly, he cherished the time spent with his wife, Melissa and loved ones. Alan was a member of The Torch Worship Center in Demorest.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by those who welcomed him into eternity.
Survivors include his loving wife, Melissa Voss Hay; daughter, Kaitlyn Abigail Hay & Brandon Adkins; step-daughter, step-son, Luke Smith; Tailor Caraline Foster; uncle, Neild Hay; aunts, Lianne Gregory, Dianne Courage, and Lauren Hall; cousin, Stan Hay & his wife, Deana; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Frederick & Barbara Voss; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Chris & Lisa Voss; four cherished grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family members and many dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
A private celebration of Alan’s life will be held.
